In the private sector, he assists Smith Commercial Realty, The JBG Companies, Bechtel Infrastructure, WEST*GROUP Management, LLC, WETA Public Broadcasting, Dulles Transit Partners, LLC, The Peterson Companies, A.J. Dwoskin & Associates, and Clark Ventures. His clients in the public sector include the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

Activities
Mr. Milliken is an active member of the civic, business, education, and legal communities. He served as the Director of Transition for Virginia Governor Mark R. Warner advising the Governor-elect on all matters relating to the establishment of his Administration in Richmond. Mr. Milliken currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Virginia Port Authority, and is a member of the board of directors of the George Mason University Foundation, the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, and the Greater Washington Board of Trade.

Significant Matters
Mr. Milliken has represented the following: (1) a consortium of companies in the selection by Virginia to design and build the extension of the Metrorail system to Dulles Airport; (2) a major corporation in the complicated negotiation with landowners, a contract purchaser, and Arlington County leading to its acquisition of a permanent headquarters; (3) a major property owner in its negotiation with the Virginia Department of Transportation regarding the design of an interchange and the construction of a new access road to Manassas Regional Airport; (4) clients with complex land use and transportation issues requiring approval from local and state governments; and (5) clients with interests in the successful completion of the final design and construction of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.
