Speaker: Ken Reid

Head Aeronautical Information Management Division (DAP/AIM) EUROCONTROL

Mr. Reid is presently the Head of the AIM Division. He is also the Chairman of the Aeronautical Information (AI) Team of the EUROCONTROL European Air Traffic Management Programme (EATMP). His current responsibilities include the development and implementation of near, medium and long-term policies for AIS/AIM, Meteorology and System-wide Management (SWIM).

He joined EUROCONTROL in 1997. Previously, he was Manager Navigation Services British Airways (1990-1997) and served as a navigator in the Royal Air Force (1964-1990) specialising mainly in tactical air transport operations.

His deep interest in the need to improve aeronautical information and the potential means by which this could be achieved is long standing with a number of papers published on the theme.
